Can he BE a bigger Batman fan? Matthew Perry isn’t embarrassed that he has a room completely devoted to the DC Comics hero. In fact, he thinks it’s pretty “sexy.”
As Us Weekly exclusively revealed recently, the Friends alum, 47, dedicated a space for the Gotham City protagonist in his $8.65 million Hollywood home. He opened up about the items he’s collected during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, October 12.
“That’s true. I’ve had the Batman room, sir, for about three years — four years,” the Kennedys After Camelot star told the late-night host, 48.
He’s really into Christian Bale’s version of Batman the most. (Other stars who’ve played the superhero include Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Ben Affleck.)
“I really got into that,” Perry added. “And I’m an insomniac, so in the middle of the night, I just go on eBay and buy all this Batman stuff and just throw it in a room. But, I want to point out, it’s not dorky. It’s actually a cool Batman room.”
Indeed it is. Perry brought along a photo of his man cave to show the audience. The room includes a long table completely covered with action figures, pens, crayons, portraits, books, masks and more.
“This is how you are spending that Friends money?” Kimmel teased.
“Yeah,” the Odd Couple actor replied. Perry added that he doesn’t receive Batman gifts from pals, but they do call him “bored” and “spoiled.”
